You could try the "roofslopeangle" code. I think that came with Night Life, and Seasons (if I remeber correctly) added "individualroofslopeangle" so you can change the angle of the roof you are about to place.
Note: The standard roof angle is 45.

Yea, I really hate that too. Unfortunately, I dont think there is a way to get rid of it, but Im not sure.

You could try deleting that chunk of roof, and building it round that part, like dont put any roof in that part, just at the sides where the other roof doesnt reach... dont know if that makes sense

that is there because there are two roofs together, and you have to get rid of one of them to make it so that its not there.
